What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

Downside Fisher Youth Club (DFYC) supports socially excluded children and young people from Bermondsey and its neighbouring areas, helping them to fulfil their potential through a structured programme of sport, educational, artistic, and recreational activities.

The Club promotes the personal, social, and educational development of young people inspiring them to develop their potential, acquire new skills and build confidence to make their own decisions. In providing opportunities for young people to work effectively in groups they take a responsible role in the community. DFYC delivers informal social education, based on a voluntary relationship, which enables young people to develop their interests and learn new ways of using their leisure time. The ALMT’s grant provides residential outward-bound trips for young people which involve canoeing, abseiling and climbing teaching young people to develop life skills, confidence, self-esteem, team work, respect, consideration for each other and accepting responsibilities.
