Inspring. Inclusive. Theatre
Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. The aim of The Theatre Shed is to inspire, innovate and include through the medium of Performing Arts. Workshops are professionally led and allow young people to explore performance skills such as acting, singing, dancing, physical theatre and more in a supportive environment.
All workshops are fully inclusive. Workshops are member led and can be skills based or focussed on working towards a production which the members are involved in creating from the very start. The children and young adults are encouraged and supported by their mentors to come up with & develop their ideas with the freedom of self-expression.
The Theatre Shed works with young people of all abilities, irrespective of background, ability, disability, or difficulty, producing excellent, thought provoking, challenging and, above all, entertaining theatre. The Theatre Shed will work with its existing community group to produce a fully inclusive piece of theatre for and with the Chesham Community. The project will be directed, produced, and coordinated by a fully professional team and supported by volunteers.
