The ALMT sponsored the first ever Street Child World Cup (SCWC) held in Durban, South Africa, in March 2010 and it was so successful that we partnered with them again at the 2014 annual Burns Night dinner to support the Philippines team for a second time.
The Street Child World Cup places street children centre stage. The event celebrates potential and provides a platform for street children to tell their stories to policymakers and the worldwide media. They kicked off a global call for street children’s rights to be recognised and upheld.
