What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

Hygiene and sanitation facilities in rural Zambia, if they exist at all, are appalling. Families, pupils and teachers have no other option but to defecate in the bush, unhygienic and undignified as this is. This innovative interim latrine model withstands the annual floods and provides a private, safe place to go to the toilet.

Guests at the annual ALMT Burns Night gala dinner pledged to support simple handwashing devices to reduce the incidence of waterborne disease dramatically. Funds raised covererd the cost of all materials, transport and training for 10 house toilets or 10 teacher’s latrines.
