What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

Footprints Baby Loss aims to provide support to bereaved parents through befriending, online support groups, social media, literature and education. They facilitate networks of baby loss community peer support, provide education specific to multiple pregnancies to healthcare professionals (HCPs), employers and carers of bereaved families, promote best practice in care during and after a multiple pregnancy and collaborate with other charities to raise awareness and promote high quality bereavement support.

Their Peer Support Project is an opportunity for families to gather together in an informal environment with memory making activities for both children and adults and a safe space for the sharing of experiences and open conversations with other bereaved parents and children. This project will fund the design, production and distribution of a peer support leaflet and training module for Healthcare Professionals with a proposed model for implementation in healthcare settings and important information needed to support families who experience twin or triplet loss.

ALMT funding will also support the production loss awareness stickers, which are designed for use on children’s red books, which are provided by the NHS and contain child health records, or can also be used on the cover of maternity notes for women pregnant after loss. Many families find that their notes are not always read by Healthcare Professionals and repeatedly explaining their medical history can be traumatising and exhausting. The stickers are a simple and discreet way of making Healthcare Professionals aware of individual circumstances and communicate with patients in a sympathetic and caring way.
