What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

There are approximately 2000 women and children from Ukraine still seeking refuge in the town and there are still new refugees arriving. The Centrum Migranta is run by Daria Lukianova who is well connected with the Ukrainian community in Gorzow. She has previously acted as co-ordinator for the activities at the Slowianka Leisure Centre.

A weekly Polish language conversation class for 24 children (A total of 12 Hours teaching for each child over a 2-3 month period). The project will also include trips out to the theatre, cinema and concert hall for all children so that they can practice their language skills. By the end of the course all children will have basic language skills and have reached Level 2 in Polish.

The project aims

to increase Polish language and conversation skills for 24 Ukrainian refugees
to improve understanding of Polish culture amongst Ukrainian refugee children and therefore encourage integration into Poland.
to increase access to fun, leisure activities for young refugees enabling them to feel comfortable in their new home.
