What is Co-Funding?

Co-funding with the ALMT allows individuals, other Trusts and Foundations, and Companies to contribute funds directly to individual, vetted and approved, project partnerships. With fifteen years of experience awarding grants and working in partnership with children’s organisations around the world, the ALMT is best placed to support you in your philanthropy.

The Bay Foodbank began in 2012 with the fervent hope that we would be helping meet a short-term need in the local community.  Sadly, over 8 years on the service has grown massively and are serving greater number of families.  The aim is to provide food in an emergency to individuals and families who find themselves in financial crisis. This could be because of financial hardship, bereavement, benefit delay, redundancy and unexpected bills or illness.

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic many families are facing additional hardship as income strands have disappeared. This has placed a greater need than ever for The Bay Foodbanks’ services. The Bay Foodbank will direct funding towards families from North Tyneside who are need of support. The project will provide children and families with additional fresh produce inside their food box. Fresh produce may include vegetables, bread, milk, fruit juice, bacon, eggs and sausages. The Partner Organisation will keep note of how many families receive this support and the number of food boxes provided.
