During the Covid-19 lockdown in the UK, many families were facing additional hardship as income strands had disappeared. Eastside Young Leaders Association (EYLA) works with 100 families who benefited from some additional food support over Christmas.
The project provided each family with a £30 supermarket voucher prior to Christmas. Families could then decide whether they used it over Christmas or put it towards costs in the New Year.
