In Worsaj District, NE Afghanistan, barely a single adult woman can read or write, yet now, almost every child is going to school. For children who live in remote areas and are denied an education because the nearest school is simply too far away, classes are set up in the community meaning that every child now has the opportunity to go to school. Afghan Connection funds 54 classes for over 1500 children in isolated villages in Worsaj giving children the chance of a better future. Guests at the annual ALMT Burns Night Dinner pledged their support to send children to school in Afghanistan.
