Young people suffer burns in developing countries due to children looking after younger siblings, methods of cooking and a lack of education. Cerniquem uses a holistic approach to tackle these problems through education, regional outreach, prevention in the home and after care. Not only do burns victims receive the treatment needed, but they are also given an education while in recovery and supported with their families in preparation for returning home. This partnership provides supplies and equipment to assist with Cerniquems work. Cerniquem performs plastic surgery for private patients with profits being used to support its charitable activities.
