St Ann's and Sneinton Football Club (SASFC) - July 2012
For the second year running the ALMT has committed funding to provide transport services to enable the team to attend all of its scheduled fixtures and meet all of the regulations required by the league. There are now over 70 children and young people playing for St Ann’s and Sneinton FC. Prior to this there were no children’s teams in St Ann’s. SASFC is now led by volunteer parents and carers. |

|
The Octavia Appeal - July 2012
The Octavia Appeal is being run through The Friends of Royal Brompton, an independent charity that raises funds for projects around the hospital, specifically to help the paediatric intensive care unit (PICU). Parents may sit by their child's side for long periods of time and it's vital for both their wellbeing and the recovery of their child to remain comfortable and relaxed during their stay. The ALMT has provided funding to purchase 20 parent chairs for the ward. |

|
Lotus Outreach - Sept 2012
The Trust is supporting the Girls Access to Education (GATE) project in Cambodia for a second year. The scholarships funded by the ALMT not only cover the indirect costs of education such as materials, uniforms and transportation but also ensure the poorest families have food to eat. Against all odds, of the 140 beneficiaries from last year’s grant, over 86% of girls who received scholarships through ALMT stayed in the program and 90% passed their final exams to graduate or advance to the next grade level. |

|
The African Village School Fund (AVSF) - Sept 2012
This partnerhip has made excellent progress in facilitating education, health promotion, nutrition and growth of economy and infrastructure in the area known as Ekudzeni in Swaziland. Having watched the AVSF deliver truly measurable positive social change, the ALMT is happy to provide the funds needed to purchase one cow, six additional pigs, one hundred chickens and the means to plant seasonal vegetables to enhance their feeding programme. The AVSF feed up to 200 children daily and this grant will contribute to improving the children’s health, well being and nutritional status greatly. |

Dost UK - October 2012
A new partner for the ALMT, Dost is an NGO that provides a comprehensive range of rights based and needs based services for deprived and destitute populations living on the margins of society e.g. drug addicts, HIV/AIDS victims, street children, prisoners and refugees in Pakistan. When women are imprisoned in Pakistan, children under the age of 7 are forced to accompany them. Living conditions are poor and there is a risk of abuse and ill health, poor education and social welfare. ALMT funding will enable the delivery of a sustainable programme of health and educational services and facilities to support these children. |

Whitehawk After School Project (WASP)- Impact Initiatives - April 2013
WASP work with children and young people living on the Whitehawk Estate in East Brighton - one of the most deprived areas in the country for over 20 years. The youth club provides not only a safe place for 40 children but has positive adult role models with the time to really listen, get to know the children and build relationships of trust and respect, something often lacking in their lives. This ALMT grant will enable the youth club to stay open in 2013 running one night per week. The Trust is also going to work closely with WASP in securing future funding and developing the services on offer. |

Last year, ALMT challenge fundraisers raised a combined total of over £35,000 by running, treking, cycling and basically pushing themselves to the limits, spurred on by sponsorship received from friends, colleagues and family. We'd love to beat this total in 2013 so
if you would like to take part in a challenge event, whether it be a mountain climb, marathon or sky dive, please contact silvie.wallington@almt.org and we might be able to help make it happen! Alternatively, check out the 'Life Changing Challenges' website and choose ALMT to fundraise for.
Contact silvie.wallington@almt.org to take part in the following in 2013:
