Our swimmer faces the final fundraising push!

Chris told the ALMT about his plans to swim a personal best in the mile-long Dockland’s swim.

“Less than one week now and I've got my wetsuit, swimming hat and chip that will record my time all ready to go. There are now 10 start times and I am swimming at 11am in the ‘white team’ which means I have got a white rubber swimming cap which is not a great look. The course is not quite a clear run, there is 800 meters straight swim then a left turn for 200 meters and 500 meter dash to the finish line. I am just hoping I manage to get in the water towards one side and don't get stuck in the middle behind someone doing breaststroke. My fundraising efforts have slowed but still hoping for some last minute donations to bump the total up. When you next hear from me I will have finished in no doubt a personal best time of sub 30 minutes.”
