About the ALMT and Angus

Kara and I lost our beautiful son Angus on Thursday September 7th 2006. Angus would have been two years old a month later.

We decided soon after he died to establish something permanent and fitting to ensure that other children benefit directly from Angus's life and from the fact that so many others shared our sense of loss. With the help of our friends we launched and administer ourselves THE ANGUS LAWSON MEMORIAL TRUST.

We have over 30 projects globally and we focus on cases of children with specific needs where we feel that the impact of the funds allocated will be visible and direct.

Within the ALMT there are no administration costs. Every £1 donated will go directly to the causes we identify. In fact with matched giving (for DB staff) and GiftAid there is a multiplier effect (see the donation section for details). All costs are absorbed by Kara and myself.

This website is also to provide accountability to you - our sponsors. We are completely reliant on your help not just financially but also in terms of pointing us to worthy causes. As you will see on the Projects & Gifts page every donation we have made so far has been done with reference of a friend.
