The road less travelled, Peking to Paris!
We’re rallying behind two intrepid fundraisers for the ALMT and supporting their attempt to drive from Peking to Paris in a 1929 Buick known affectionately as ‘Benson’.

An ALMT supporter is climbing to new heights for the trust, Kilimanjaro no less!
Help our ALMT supporters achieve new heights in fundraising for the ALMT by attempting to climb the highest mountain in Africa. Deutsche bank employees Nadia Corsini and her friend Denise Brown will be climbing Kilimanjaro in a couple of weeks to raise money for our projects, please support them here.

Helen and Sameera raise £1362

Helen says:
“The biggest achievement for me was being able to complete the race in a (fairly) decent time and run all the way. This time last year I would never have thought I could run for so long but it’s been so rewarding to get this far and raise money for the Trust. Sam and I are already looking at the next races we could run although I’ll definitely rest up for this week!
Top tip for half marathons – eat jelly babies at some point round the course otherwise you get really hungry!! (I devoured about 6 energy bars after the race!)”
Sameera comments:
Race went very well. We really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was great. The 13.1 mile race course was reasonably flat and the support from the crowds was fantastic. The last 2 miles were pure torture and I've never been happier to see the number 13 pop up on the side of the road indicating that there was only 0.1miles to go!! Having both completed a paltry 3 mile Race for Life a few years earlier, we were really chuffed to complete the course with good race times and still be laughing. The space blankets and medals the end were a nice touch as well... metallic's are "soo this season". My time was 2.06.46
A huge thank you from the ALMT to all of you who supported Helen and Sameera
